Location of La Casa Rosa, A Day of Sunshine villa!
La Casa Rosa is situated at the edge of the peaceful Spanish village of El Marquesado, just 3.5Km from the centre of the town of Chiclana de la Frontera, and within easy driving distance of fabulous beaches and lovely countryside. The property offers privacy and quiet and has its own pool, hot tub, terraces and even its own bar area with both open and covered areas for lazing about. It is conveniently placed to be within easy reach of the historical and beautiful towns of Cadiz (17Km), Seville (100Km) and Jerez (42Km) as well as a host of traditional white Andalucian villages such as Vejer, Arcos and Benalup, to name but a few. Country pursuits such as bird watching, walking, cycling, horse riding are all on the doorstep as are the beautiful spacious local beaches which stretch for about 18 miles along the Atlantic coast and offer all kinds of water sports for those so inclined!
Owing to the rural nature of the property, hiring a car is preferable (and will be arranged, and paid for by A Day of Sunshine), although a local bus service is quite regular. This area is essentially Spanish, and therefore there is a distinct lack of fish & chip shop and English theme pubs. However, most visitors think that is a good thing!
Local shops are well placed to provide everything you are likely to need for your stay, as well as local produce and the like, and eating out locally is inexpensive and varied with numerous restaurants/ Bars (Ventas) which serve anything from tapas to a full 4-course meal. A range of large supermarkets, banks etc are all local to La Casa Rosa.
